You may have a defective charger. There is a third signal wire that tells the laptop what charger you have. If this wire gets damaged or the charger circuity gets fried, it will no longer charge. Have Dell replace the charger. If this doesn’t help, the DC socket on the laptop may be damaged. Dell should repair this under warranty. The 1545 has a separate dell pa-10 charger board, so the entire system board does not need to be replaced. It is difficult to repair the socket if the connections are bad.”

My notebook came with a laptop battery and does not last very long. I purchased a 9 cell battery at Amazon.com to give it a try. And it was much cheaper than ordering one from other laptop battery sources! So far it works great and it lasts much longer than the 6 cell! As long as you follow the instructions, it works just like the add says. My notebook went from lasting about 2 hours on the 6 cell battery and the 9 cell battery lasts up to 4 hours plus! You can’t beat it for the price!

This battery works wonders and has helped me actually use my laptop like it was before the original battery started deteriorating.

It gives me about 4hrs 30 min on routine function without video. With video it comes down to 3 hrs which is quite acceptable. Charging time is approximately 120 minutes from 10% to 100%.

Be sure to get the “RoHs” battery featured here. I purchased a 9 cell inspiron 1525 battery from another seller at about the same time as this 9 cell battery. This one holds a 3 hour 40 minute (plus time to spare) charge (I tested with media player playing the first half the time and a backup running the second half – no idle time) and the other barely gets past 2 hours. HUGE difference. Also the other battery gets warm – not this one. Nice! I highly recommend this product.

As for the seller, the shipping time was fast and the price is decent, esp for what you’re getting (it’s like two thirds cheaper than buying direct from Dell if I’m not mistaken).

First, a little bit of background information:
I purchased this hp dv6500 battery, because I needed a replacement for the (now defective) battery that came with my laptop. The battery that came with the laptop (OEM battery) started off with about a two hour battery life and over the course of a year that number dropped to about five minutes worth of battery power. This was my own fault, as I did not know that leaving the laptop plugged in constantly would do substantial harm to the battery’s longevity.

Now, after searching for a while, I found and purchased this hp dv9500 battery because it was significantly cheaper than the replacement that HP was offering, and it seemed to be compatible with my computer (model# dv9933cl).
Here’s my analysis:
– The battery arrived on time. So I have no complaints with the company itself.
– The battery was nicely packaged and on inspection did not have any scratches, dents, etc.
– Physically, the battery fits into my laptop, but part of it sticks put. It’s very small, and unnoticeable, but it definitely sticks out of the laptop battery compartment by a few millimeters. The OEM battery did not stick out at all. But this is a minor complaint, and it does not seem to affect the computer’s performance in any way.
- The battery’s life span, after a few test runs, seems to be around one hour and fifty minutes. Not as good as the OEM battery initially was, but more than I was expecting.

After owning the hp dv6000 battery for about a month, I have no complaints. Obviously I’m being a lot more careful with the battery this time and when I have the laptop plugged to the wall, I remove the battery from the laptop in order to preserve its integrity. That way, hopefully, this battery will last much longer than the OEM battery did.
