Question:”My laptop battery has been having problems on my netbook and after looking it up, I found out that the batteries for these things give out after about a year and a half. That’s fine and all and I plan to buy another soon, but just recently my Laptop AC adapter charger stopped working as well. Is this because of the battery because there isn’t a shortage in the cord because when it’s plugged up, the blue light on the box lights up, but my laptop doesn’t show that it is charging or even plugged up. It’s not as if the cord is ripped or has been tangled and bent repeatedly. What is the problem and what do I do to fix it?

Answer:”Great question. Unfortunately, laptops can still break down internally even if the charger cord itself is perfectly fine. The “brick”, as we like to call it, is damaged internally. This unfortunately is something completely out of you control. Things “just happen.” The only fix to something like this is to get a new charger. The time and effort it would cost to attempt to fix the Asus EXA0901XH charger is insanely unfavorable. You should look into getting a new Asus N17908 charger as soon as possible.

For a new charger, laptop charger is by far the best website I have come across in terms of having good products with amazing service.

I’ve purchased from them before and they are true to their word. Free shipping with free lifetime warranty. Meaning, if the charger you purchased from them ever stops working, they would replace it for free, forever. So when the charger I got from them about a year ago decided to just stop working, they sent me a new one for free.

Its definitely a great way one can save money in the long run and its a great investment as well.

“if you want to change a new replacement Asus EXA0901XH ac adapter,You can do that, but there are a number of things to consider:

Is it the correct output voltage?

Will it deliver enough current to run the laptop?

Is the polarity at the tip the same as your original power supply?

If you can answer yes to all three questions, then it will work, however, keep in mind that if the laptop is still covered by any sort of warranty, using the generic power supply will probably void it.

My friend lost his power cord in the past, but he was able to purchase an off brand Asus EXA0901XH Adapter /power cord for his laptop. Fortunately, the performance of his charger and laptop still runs normal. So I guess it is safe to replace your power cord with non branded type. However, it is always safe to purchase the product from the computer manufacturer or provider.

as long as it is the same specs —most don’t last as long
40 is cheap——— think on this light bulbs last 500 times longer when left on than when u turn them off and on
same with a charger leave it plugged in unless u are going some distance—like away from the house –i have mine in one spot and i never un plug it over 4 years old and it is on a surge strip ( a good one not a cheap one)

I suggest don’t use it before anything could happen to your laptop. If you are not sure of it , the voltage, the power capacity and everything for its compatibility then do not attempt to use it.

Most likely Hp used a unique jack and voltage/amperage on the Asus N17908 adapter and you won’t be able to get one from a 3rd party.
