question:”Ive had this notebook for about 3 months, and the ac charger went bad, so I buy a new AC charger, it is not the exact same as the original. The original was a 19.5V and the replacement is a 19V. After I received it the batter was not being detected, unless I was doing something that required more power to the computer, in that case it would detect it, but not charge. So I called Asus and had a new asus g73jh battery sent. Now that I have the laptop battery it is being detected and says “(plugged in, charging).” However it has been staying at 5% battery…and at times it will jump to 17-20% battery life. On this notebook when you change the power source (battery/AC) it will display an image on the screen, and it keeps flashing the AC Mode, occasionally it will stay off for about 5 min then start flashing again. So My question is this, what is the problem, the AC charger, or something in the motherboard that charges the asus g73 battery? If it is an issue with the board Best Buy said it would take about 30 days to fix, I would have to send it in and wait to get it back.”

Answer:” Since you’ve passed your return date and full refund date, I would just suggest you send it into your manufacturer to have them fix it since you are under warranty. It seems like there is a lot of issues going on with your laptop and the first mistake was accepting the different asus laptop battery charger. You always want to try and aim for the exact laptop ac adapter you need.”

in addition:”While surfing the Web with minimum screen brightness, we squeezed one hour and 48 minutes out of the G73’s 8-cell battery pack. This is respectable for a large gaming notebook.the asus laptop battery life is shorter, you can buy a new replacement asus g73jh battery from batterywood.com.”
