you should check if your computer is still under warranty. If it is and the laptop ac adapter is NOT responding to any of the troubleshooting tips outlined above, contact your laptop’s manufacturer for replacement or repair. Be sure to include important information that your laptop manufacturer needs to reference. This includes the company name (if it’s applicable), your full name if you are the owner, the system service tag, your address (which includes the city, state, zip code and everything else), your phone number with the area code, as well as a detailed description of the troubleshooting steps that you have made. On the other hand, if your laptop is quite old and is no longer under warranty, purchasing a new and compatible asus g73 adapter is the fastest and easiest way out.

If it’s new then take it back. Attempting to fix it may void the warranty, so leave it alone. Tell them you suspect the power socket has come loose from the mobo and you want a new one, not a repair. If off warranty then wiggle the cord prong inside the socket while watching your power indicator. If it goes on and off then the power socket is bad.
