“Most of the time this problem occurs because the electrical solder connections on the motherboard wear out. If you wiggle the plug (while plugged into the laptop) and the light comes on, then you know it’s a bad connector. The only way to fix this is to re-solder or replace the plug on the system board, which means tearing apart the entire laptop.

If you’re lucky, it’s just a bad toshiba PA3469E-1AC3 AC adapter. Dirty electrical “grid-power” will commonly do this and fry your adapter (which is why I plug my laptop AC adapter into a battery backup/ surge suppressor, which absorbs any voltage surges from the line). Buy a new toshiba ac adapter and it might resolve your issue.”

“I bought a Toshiba Laptop this summer and that is what happened to it. The cord first was messed up and to get it to work you had to move it alot, then it just stopped working. Because mine is still under waranty, we were able to get a new cord for free. it now works fine, but i think you will need to buy a new one…”

“I would say you need a toshiba pa3714u-1aca charger. Come on, lets be real here, what are the chances of your rooms wiring going bad (especially when you use other devices in the same outlet(s) and they are fine. I would also personally recommend you visit allbatteryshop.com.the shop is well known for their great services and durable products. They have free shipping, free lifetime warranty, and 30 days full refund. You should be able to find them online through google search.”
